Select one item from each category to customize your very own meal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Start with Greens:<\/strong> A healthy serving of daily greens is essential for good health, and so our Nourish Bowl always begins here. Your greens may be cooked or raw, whichever you are in the mood for. Choose from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Spinach<\/li>\n<li>Kale<\/li>\n<li>Collards<\/li>\n<li>Arugula<\/li>\n<li>Romaine<\/li>\n<li>Micro Greens<\/li>\n<li>Sprouts<\/li>\n<li>Mustard Greens<\/li>\n<li>Swiss Chard<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Add Protein: <\/strong>Protein is important for supporting your fitness progress, in addition to providing you with usable energy to power your day. Be sure to vary the protein that you choose from time to time. Choose from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Egg<\/li>\n<li>Beans<\/li>\n<li>Lentils<\/li>\n<li>Fish<\/li>\n<li>Chicken<\/li>\n<li>Beef<\/li>\n<li>Pork<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Add Healthy Fat: <\/strong>It\u2019s vital that your diet be rich in healthy fats so don\u2019t skip this category! Healthy fats help to keep you satiated, a benefit that will pay off in fewer calories consumed over the long haul. No more energy crashes in the afternoon! Choose from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Avocado<\/li>\n<li>Nuts<\/li>\n<li>Seeds<\/li>\n<li>Olive oil<\/li>\n<li>Olives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Add Veggies:<\/strong> Colorful, vibrant, organic, seasonal vegetables become the star of this meal. Take time to chop or dice your fresh veggies into a pleasing size before adding to your bowl. Choose from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Zucchini<\/li>\n<li>Bell peppers<\/li>\n<li>Cucumber<\/li>\n<li>Tomatoes<\/li>\n<li>Cauliflower<\/li>\n<li>Radish<\/li>\n<li>Snap peas<\/li>\n<li>Cabbage<\/li>\n<li>Carrots<\/li>\n<li>Parsnips<\/li>\n<li>Any other veggie of your choice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Add Healthy Carbohydrates:<\/strong> Wholesome carbohydrates are important for maintaining that pep of energy in your step, so be sure to include a serving of one of the following in your bowl. Choose from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Quinoa<\/li>\n<li>Sweet Potato<\/li>\n<li>Brown or Wild Rice<\/li>\n<li>Beans<\/li>\n<li>Corn<\/li>\n<li>Peas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Finish with Flavor Add-Ons:<\/strong> Here\u2019s where you could really let your creativity shine by adding your favorite fresh herbs or dressings to increase the flavor and enjoy-ability of the bowl. Choose from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chopped fresh herbs<\/li>\n<li>Dried herbs<\/li>\n<li>Homemade dressing<\/li>\n<li>Homemade sauce<\/li>\n<li>Vinegar<\/li>\n<li>Hummus<\/li>\n<li>Lemon juice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I\u2019ve posted an example Nourish Bowl above for you to enjoy and to get your creative juices flowing as you begin to design and enjoy your Nourish Bowls of your own creation.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t forget to get your fitness on by exercising 3-5 times each week.
